While on our daily 散歩 (さんぽ - walk) which happened to be Yumi's third of the day (interlude: we found out Makoto likes to ride in a particular small stroller and while doing so he tends to fall asleep in a restful ぐーぐー slumber. However recently he has come to realize this weakness and fights against it with all his might. In short, Yumi lost, Makoto won… twice) Yumi pointed to a fallen ex-Xmas tree and said, 「成れの果て」 which Kenkyusha defines as:
なれのはて[成れの果て]
the wreck [shadow] of one's former self; the ruin of what one was.
a ruined aristocrat; *a busted peer
a ruined prodigal
the faded shadow of a woman once famed as the belle of society
So that's what our president has come to

No big point in bringing this word up. Just liked it. That's all.
