Dog and Boy Food - 復讐
This just in…
Today’s word: 復讐 fukushuu - revenge
Hearing Makoto (the boy) cry, I noticed Teyve (the dog) had snatched the apple Makoto was working on. I said, ‘bad doggie’ and turning back to Makoto, I spotted him taking revenge by snacking on the dry dog food left from their breakfast. Of course he had his honor to protect!
Shortly thereafter I watched Makoto, with a new piece of apple, stretch out his arm and as if to say はい、どうぞ! he set it before Tevye’s willing mouth.
I’m not sure his 復讐 was as honorable as I had first thought.
