The Secret to Getting the Dogs to Eat

Since the massive pet food recall for Menu Foods products, we’ve stopped mixing the wet food with the dog’s dry food. I guess it is alright to go back to the wet stuff, but being a little paranoid and knowing the dry is probably better for them, we’ve stuck with the Dry Only diet.*

The small problem is, the dogs love the wet and only tolerate the dry. Sure we sometimes mix in a little bit of our leftovers to soften the blow, but their dishes may sit untouched all morning until, finally, they realize they are VERY hungry. Even then, half eaten meals are not infrequent.

This was all we could do until we discovered The Secret to Getting the Dogs to Eat™ in Three easy steps.

You know, I could package this up in a pretty PDF and sell thousands of this information on Ebay for $9.99, but I won’t. I’ll give it to you for free. All you need is:

* Two dogs
* Two dog dishes
* Some nasty dry dog food
* and a Makoto

Here are the steps in full color and with commentary.

STEP 1: Set Makoto in front of the dog dishes and call the dogs to eat.
Step 1

The dogs, sensing the immense competition before them, rush to protect their food. In doing so they realize they probably should eat it to remove the chance of the competitor getting even one nasty morsel.

STEP 2: Remove Makoto, but keep the potential threat imminent. The dogs will continue to chow down.
Step 2

STEP 3: Marvel in the beauty of a spotless dog dish.
Step 3

And there you have it. They say it can’t be done, but with a little Makoto here and there, it can!

  1. Hello!..I’m just wondering about what said Makoto, in the video where you explain something about a very long japanese word or expression, I don’t remember what it was exactly, hope you see what, and in the end you say “bye”, and Makoto chan said something in japanese, and I was just wondering what it was :D! Thanks XxXxX

  2. Hi! That would be the jugemu video (do a search for ‘jugemu’). I think he just did a little scream. It wasn’t any Japanese (or English) I know of. :)
