I want to begin a small collection of (hopefully) useful downloads for beginners of Japanese. We’ll begin with a list of all Japanese Language Proficiency Test 4 kyuu kanji* (the easiest and first set of kanji) with a single English meaning. It doesn’t have the pronunciations, but it may be helpful to print out, stick on the wall and stare at until you grow accustomed to the kanji.

* I have heard through the grapevine the JLPT will totally revamp their specifications in 1-2 years. They will split 1 kyuu (the hardest) into pre-1kyuu (準一級) and regular 1kyuu.
