Halfway up Mt Fuji

Quick Beginner’s Tip: Mt. Fuji in Japanese is 富士山 fuji san. The ‘san’ means ‘mountain’ and not ‘Mr.’ Fuji-san does not mean ‘Mr. Fuji.’*

I went through a few photos from a trip to Japan and found some from our Fuji excursion. This is on the way to the 5th level. There are 10 levels to the top. (you may think, ‘well he climbed half way – not bad!’ – it’s fine to think that, but you can drive up to the 4th level – and that is exactly what we did. The photo below is an exhausted Clay who had climbed at least 15 minutes prior to the photo being taken.

* Ok, I’ve been guilty of calling it fuji-sama just for fun. 富士様を登ったことがありますか? fujisama o nobotta koto ga arimasu ka? Have you climbed Mr. Fuji (polite).
