That was a print by Sharaku of a Kabuki actor. I just like using the face.

I think I’ll try using a bit of Flash to alternate ‘ads’ for different posts or sections of this site. I may throw some ukiyoe pictures in there too!

I think it kinda needs to be Japanese-y.

hmm… a big “Under Construction” banner! Maybe more ukiyo-e? Or maybe a pic of a Shinto shrine or Mt. Fuji in a panoramic shot there.

did you get that Ukiyo-e guy from Wikipedia? Because the exact same print is on the ukiyo-e entry…

Thanks. I did like how the big ukiyo-e guy overlapped the boundaries of previous theme. I’ll give that some thought.

I need to replace the middle picture with something. Still thinking…

It’s looking good. I like the color scheme. Oh but the old logo was so cool… It’d be hard to incorporate into this design though.

I remember those absurd things. They were everywhere! Wow they actually have a whole site devoted to those eyesores..
I never thought of it the way you put it, but it’s true. If websites weren’t always changing, people wouldn’t usually go back to them.

and how can we read the blog if our eyes are closed…?:D
