On the Auspicious Occasion of Makoto’s Big 2nd Birthday Bash
To fulfill my monthly quota of 親バカ posts, here is Makoto’s birthday cake:
And here he is amidst many balloons and his Cars garage.
It is hard to tell with the birthday cake and bottom photo, but his party had a theme.
From Makoto’s first viewing, he was hooked on Cars
He enjoyed watching the other children play. He is still a little in the anti-social stage, but he had great fun watching others while occasionally playing with the new toy cars on any available flat surface.
The best part was when he received his cake. We lit a sparkler (thanks to Christine) and sang Happy Birthday. Makoto sat there with the biggest smile on his face. I took the video and will try to upload it soon. It was really cute; he knew the party was for him at that moment.

Sorry! I forgot to take my camera to the office to get the video. My camera software doesn’t work with Vista and my laptop here is Vista.
He was born on December 1st, but we wanted to have the party on a Sunday.
