New Directions in Japanese Video

I’ve been so busy with theJapanesePage.com move, I haven’t posted or done much else lately. Here is a new video on basic (very basic) directions in Japanese:

It looks like most people are able to log in successfully at TJP.com. If you haven’t joined, please check it out!

In the coming weeks we will:

* Theme the forums so it looks like it really is a part of the site
* Add the video section locally and make it a part of the site

And in the somewhat near future, we’ll add a much better kanji/vocabulary section and a few other goodies.

The dust hasn’t settled yet, but it is exciting! Thanks to all who have helped and supported the effort.

  1. That was a nice video, but I was reminded of something I had thought about before. It was the issue of the music interfering with the vocal sounds. That might not matter too much I suppose, but I feel the clearer it is in the background when hearing the vocal sounds, the better.

Also regarding the site, are the forums going to become part of it like they were before or stay separated?

  2. Yes, I meant to make the music softer this time, but the song I had on hand had that harmonica that was so much louder than the base music. I’ll do better next time :)

Yes, the forums should be integrated and themed this week or the next. I have a team working on it right now.

  3. Ah, that is most wonderful.

  4. Hello! It’s nice stuff! The new site is great too, but (for me) I find the colours still hurting the eyes sometimes, like for the kanjis stuffs, it will be nice if it could be nice colours and colours that don’t hurt eyes in particularly! And it’ possible to find out nice colours and that are modest in same time! Hope you’ll find it out! See ya! XxXxX (sorry for my unperfect english)
