In response to this post: Quick Google Japanese Tip, a friend sent me this:
maybe these could help to use the Jp language setting for a search and then switch back to English

you could script a button or checkbox for your preferred language
Sounds like creating a macro would be a good way to [...]
With live feeds in Brazil, 宮沢和史 Miyazawa Kazufumi (the lead singer in The Boom) played 島歌. It was very good, but I am sure because of time restraints, the song just seemed to fall a little short.
And now 世界のナベアツ is announcing the next singers. He is a comedian whose claim to fame is pronouncing ’san’ [...]
OK, it is something of a pet peeve, but if you are going to sing in a language you can’t speak, can you at least have the decency to have a native speaker write it? キマグレン is the group on now. Ugh.
To see what I mean, may I direct you to the lyrics of the [...]
The singer singing now is 秋元順子 Akimoto Junko. This is her first appearance at 紅白. At 61, she has an amazing voice. I will have to check her out later (note to self).
One of the joys of living in Japan is Japanese TV. And one of the joys of Japanese TV is the bakabakashii TV. And while we were there having our daughter Megumi, I discovered a really funny act called ひげ男爵 hige danshaku (bearded aristocrat). They were just on 紅白.
Every year NHK (the national TV network) broadcasts one of the (if not the) most popular programs all year–the 紅白 kouhaku. This annual New Year’s Eve event pits female musicians against those of the male variety. One team is red (紅) and the other white (白) hence the name.

With everything seemingly pushing toward HD, Digital Juice is retiring their SD Jump Backs. The Digital Juice Jump Backs are super useful for creating an instant backdrop for any video. I use them often behind text. It just looks [...]
Sometimes I find a kanji or jukugo and I want to do a quick check of popularity or I want to see examples of usage. Google is excellent for doing this–at least for ‘Internet Japanese.’
The problem is my default English Google setup tends to favor Chinese over Japanese websites when doing Japanese searches without kana. [...]
Hulu.com is quickly becoming the place to go on the internet for streaming TV shows, movies, and other video. They just added Horse Feathers. If you find the following exchange funny, you should watch the movie:
Groucho is trying to get into a Speakeasy, but he can’t enter without the password
Chico: “Who is it?”
Groucho: [...]
A few weeks ago, I wrote about Amazon having a good price on the Oxford English Dictionary–the world’s largest (and I think safe to say best) dictionary.
Well, today I was checking around and found they have a special Blue Leather edition. And at $6,295.00 it makes the regular edition at $877.10 seem cheap!
Wow. I imagine [...]
