Yesterday, I made a post about the newest addition to our $5 instant download collection: the second (and final) part of the JLPT 4 kyuu Vocabulary pack. To celebrate, I decided to make the $5 download a $2.50 download.
All was fine.
We got a few orders here and there for it. This was pretty remarkable since [...]
White Rabbit Press has made its name by producing high quality flashcards for learning kanji and kana. Never resting on their laurels, the folks there are expanding to include audio tour programs. Basically you would go to a specific starting point in Tokyo (for example), press play, and listen while your personal tour guide [...]
Tevye, our dog, has a fair-weather tail.
Normally Tevye’s tail is curled like the picture to the right.
On a hot day, however, Tevye’s tail flattens out. (see below)
Actually, there have been some days where his tail goes totally flat. I’ve been meaning to try to catch it on film–it is hilarious to see: the [...]
One reason I haven’t posted much here is we’ve been hard at work moving TheJapanesePage.com to a new server and content management software. The move was made, but we have had a few problems. Oddly enough all three problems occurred at the same time and are totally unrelated.

For the second time in recent weeks, I have added a very lovely red bar at the top of TJP. This means the move to the server is in progress (again). If all goes well, we should be completely moved to the new server in 24-48 hours. Will update.
With the new server [...]
Yesterday afternoon, Yumi’s father’s laptop arrived. Checking the FedEx tracking information online, it was scheduled to arrive today. Sometimes it is nice for things to be early.

Today I was doing some busy work on another site of mine and after starting to do the same thing on this site, I realized it was 4 times as slow as the [...]
Today Yumi, Makoto, my parents and I will drive 1.5 hours to pick up Yumi’s parents. They are all excited about the adventure. This is their third time to visit us I believe.
We have plans to visit the Mouse in Orlando. Normally I don’t like rodents, but we think Makoto does.
Here are [...]
Yesterday Yumi and I made a trip to the INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services) office to check on a question we had about her Green Card. Normally, I’d file any discussion on the INS under イライラ—the ‘what was he thinking?’ files, but I have to say it was very pleasant.
Years ago INS changed its [...]
In posting, that is. I was shocked to notice my last post here was on the 20th. It is nigh high into the 27th as I type. However, I do have an excuse.
I’ve made tremendous progress with customizing Drupal—the Content Management Software that will house the brand new TheJapanesePage.com site. [...]
